The BEQUEL partners ensure the protection of personal data of any natural person that is registered in the Bequal platform www.bequal.info and uses the Bequal and Bequel benchmarking tools.

In any case, and subject to possible restrictions laid down by law, the data subjects have the rights to access their personal data, the information on the nature and purpose of the processing, the correction of inaccurate, new or incomplete data, the deletion, the restriction of processing, the portability and the opposition to development of individual profiles by automated means.

Any natural person whose personal data is subject to any processing by Bequal platform may have direct contact with the platform administrator to resolve any question or disagreement.

 

Data we process

Bequal platform collects the following data from the users, during the registration process:

Personal data: Name (optional), e-mail

The collection of the personal data is necessary to identify the person and provide basic personal information to create their personal profiles in the Community of Practice. The users may opt to provide only the absolute necessary personal information, which is their e-mail.

With the registration process, the users get a personal account (username and password) that is associated with their personal data. With their own username, they have direct access to their data and they can at any time delete, correct their personal data.

Bequal platform collects the following data, during the fill-in of the benchmarking questionnaire:

Organisational data: Name of organisation, country, address (optional), e-mail, tel (optional), url (optional), type of organisation, company size, business sector, task in relation to work-based learning

Personal data: Role/function in organisation

The collection of the personal data is necessary to identify the person registering in the platform and verify his/her authorisation to use the benchmarking questionnaire, on behalf of their organisation.
The collection of organisational data is necessary to identify the organisations and contact them for the purposes of:

  • Sending occasional reminders, to access the Bequal platform, participate actively in the Community of Practice and fill-in the benchmarking tool annually
  • Invite them to events related to the BEQUEL project
  • Send to the registered organisations the BEQUEL badge and invite them to awarding ceremonies

In addition, Bequal platform collects your personal data in the form of Cookies. You can set up not to accept and delete the Cookies from your browser settings.

 

Participant rights

The fill-in of the registration form and the benchmarking tool presupposes the acceptance of the terms of participation and the regulation of the Bequal portal.

In the context of the compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we invite you, if necessary, to exercise the following rights:

Right to transparency and information. Data Subjects have the right to be accurately and clearly informed about the collection and use (processing) of their personal data.

Right to access. Data Subjects have the right to receive confirmation regarding the processing of their data, and a copy of that data. This right may be exercised, either in writing or orally, on request.

Right to correction. Data Subjects have the right to request the correction of their data when they are inaccurate, or the completion of their data, when they are incomplete.

Right to deletion ('right to be forgotten'). Data Subjects have a right to ask for the deletion of their personal data.

Right to portability. Data Subjects have the right to receive their own personal data, which have been processed by a DPO, in a structured, commonly Used and readable format.

Right to object. Data Subjects the right to oppose, at any time, the processing of personal data relating to them. In this case the DPO must cease such processing unless it demonstrates overriding and legitimate reasons for this.

 

Responsibilities of DPO

In the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), for the protection of personal data, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) is defined as the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that defines the purposes and manner of the processing of personal data. As data processor is defined the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the DPO.

IDEC SA, as DPO, ensures in any case the legitimacy of the processing and the appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect your personal data, such as Secure information and network systems, control and restriction of physical access, controlled electronic access, access levels, staff training, use of secure protocols for Data encryption and more.

In addition, it must respond without delay to the questions of the participants, as well as to the requests for the exercise of their rights as defined in the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

 

Retention and transfer of personal data

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide you with our services in the best possible way, as well as to comply with our legal obligations .We do not transfer your personal data to third parties, unless it is necessary for the technical maintenance and upgrade of the platform.

In any case, you may exercise the rights of information, access, objection and portability for your personal data that we retain, the right to deletion, under the limitations of Legislation, the right to correction, if you find any error or change any of your details, by written request.
