Baseline / problem

The high school students who wish to complete their internship programe through CO-OP must apply to the CO-OP Directorate.Providing application materials doesn’t necessarily mean that the student will be elected for CO-OP. High academic record, recommendations and the other required criteria are necessary for the CO-OP application. A student accepted into the CO-OP program is called a COOPER. The students selected by the CO-OP Directorate are then sent to partner companies for interviews. The CO-OP Directorate prepares students to speak with employers. A COOPER accepted by the partner company after completing his or her interviews will be offered an internship position.

Good practice: (Measures, instruments, criteria, indicators)

High Coop consists of three dimentions:

1. It provides student an internship programme which is explained above.

2. It provides an opportunity to students to meet them world of work. The expersts from the world of work come to schools as corporate voluenters to talk about their experiencies.

3. Clup activities. Student visits to companies. It is called as learning as shadow. After company visits students prepare a report about their observations. It is an opportunity for the students to know the companies before starting work.

Problems and constraints encountered and solutions found:

Companies don't want to work too much inters. Vin vin policy used during the coop process. Some of the insentives given by the schools and vice versa. Corporate volunteering is the best way to solve this problem.
