Re-entry with a future

Baseline / problem

Since October 2013, BEST on behalf of the AMS Vienna is implementing a training for women can return to the labour market after a family-related career breaks with care obligations (continuation of the project from 2008-2013) . The aim is to design for those women the right flexible and modular courses aiming to raise their confidence in own abilities and optimally prepare them to re-integrate the labour market, by strengthening the soft skills as well as completion of qualifications. Initially, a 3-day event is implement to know the participants, their current situation detected and set up individual training plans. In addition to the flexible selectable internal course modules, there is an option to complete an individual training and continuing education at the free market.

Core-modules of the “Re-entry with a future” programme, depending on the access requirements of the participants, are:

• Reconciliation of family and professional life

• Clearing

• Vocational orientation

• Skills for employability

• BEST transversal skills check

Problems and constraints encountered and solutions found:

The implementation of the “Re-entry with a future” programme requires a counselling and training team skilled on methodologies and tools, in order to successful implemented the programme.
